We just love food!
I'm Ellie and I set up Lavender Gardens Patisserie in June
2018. Formerly in the financial services industry it was a long held ambition to turn my love of food and cooking into a business for myself.
At the time I took the plunge I was 4 months pregnant with my second child and a career change offered me the flexibility to spend more time with my children scheduling work around them.
It has been and continues to be an exciting adventure. Th hard work is paying off and I am blessed with some fantastic clients and supportive family and friends.
Our policy is to operate as sustainably as is possible. Wherever possible we source our ingredients locally and from the UK which means that many things on the menus are seasonal.
I can say that as a business we are pretty much zero waste because my family polishes off any left overs so nothing goes in the bin.
Our menus contain lots of vegetarian and vegan options and I have a particular passion for vegan baking. Later this year i intend to include lots more vegan recipes in the blog.
We are looking currently at options for reducing the plastic content of packaging we use and also on the ingredients we source.
